What is Residential Treatment?

Residential treatment provides patients with the opportunity to focus their energy solely on their recovery. Bipolar disorder can be debilitating and affect every facet of your life, from personal to professional.

At Lindner Center of HOPE we treat bipolar disorder with a series of proven methods in a comfortable environment. This includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), medication, and talk therapy.

What is Bipolar Disorder?

Bipolar disorder, sometimes referred to as manic depressive disorder, is a mental disorder categorized by dramatic shifts in mood that can lead to emotional highs and lows categorized as mania and depression.

Depression can cause individuals to feel hopeless or lose interest in activities. Depression can affect a person’s sleep, relationships, work, and physical health.

Bipolar disorder is a lifelong disorder however it can be managed with psychotherapy, medications, and other treatments.

When is Residential Treatment the Right Choice for Bipolar Disorder?

Choosing residential mental health treatment can be a scary and big decision for you or your loved one. But often it can be the right decision. When is residential treatment the right choice?

Residential treatment can possibly be the right choice if you experience the following:

  • Someone who has found that their current treatment plan is no longer working for them.
  • Someone who needs to separate themselves from the stresses of everyday life to manage their bipolar disorder.

Individuals who are considering residential treatment for their bipolar disorder should always consult with their doctors or medical providers for more information. A doctor or medical provider can provide referrals and more information about possible treatment routes.

Everyone was very sweet and encouraged participation. I’m glad I was transferred here over other places. It was more helpful than I had expected.”

orange-t-shirt-man“The staff was phenomenal during my stay. As a team, we were able to find the right combination of medications and counseling to help with both my physical symptoms and becoming more in tune with my emotions. I would strongly recommend the Center to anyone struggling with an addiction (whether it be substance abuse or an Eating Disorder), depression, anxiety or any other mental illness. My time spent here almost didn’t feel like a hospital stay, but rather an open atmosphere to voice my opinions and seek the help that I needed.”
