Telehealth Information for Outpatient Mental Health Treatment

Lindner Center of HOPE Professional Associates has the ability to conduct in-person, telehealth (video)* and telephone appointments.

*For telehealth/telephone visits, the patient must be in Ohio, Kentucky or Indiana at the time of their appointment due to licensing restrictions.

Call 513-536-0570 if you are unsure of your appointment type.

You will be required to properly wear a simple mask (bring your own or one will be provided).  If you do not properly wear a simple mask at all times while in the facility, you will be asked to leave.

Please do not bring any persons with you that are not essential to your appointment. If you are bringing an essential person, they will also be asked screening questions and required to wear a mask.

If you are ill or have a fever of 100.4 or greater, please stay home and either cancel with more than 24-hour notice or convert your in-person appointment to a telehealth (video) appointment or a telephone appointment.  You can do so by calling 513-536-0570.

Individualized Treatment

Outpatient treatment exists on a continuum, with many people blending many options at once. Depending on the patient’s needs and progress, outpatient mental health treatment can include: individual psychotherapy, family or group counseling and/or mental health medication management.

Outpatient Mental Health Treatment Philosophy:

  • All patients have a clinician assigned as their primary clinician, who coordinates a treatment plan with the patient and their treatment team. Most often, the team includes a psychiatrist or nurse practitioner prescribing medications and a psychologist or social worker as their therapist.
  • Therapists on the treatment team are also able to conduct family and couples therapy as needed.
  • Access to psychiatric rehabilitation services is available.
  • Lindner Center of HOPE clinicians may prescribe genetic testing for consenting patients (called GeneSightRx), with the potential to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of medications on an individual. Learn more about genetic testing here, view a brief video, or visit www.genesight.com.

Rapid Access Service

A barrier to the delivery of quality mental health care services is the lack of rapid access to service. Wait list times to see an outpatient psychiatrist for an initial session can exceed 12 weeks or more, leaving patients and families in need of treatment in urgent situations with few alternatives for care. Lindner Center of HOPE Professional Associates Rapid Access Services (RAS) provides the hope and prompt attention they need.

RAS is an outpatient service for patients 18 and older, available Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. This service enables patients to have a scheduled appointment within days of their call and quickly receive help with symptoms and concerns. The appointment includes:

  • A thorough outpatient assessment with a psychiatrist and social worker
  • A care plan
  • Recommendations with referrals
  • A written post-visit summary

When necessary, subsequent bridge appointments may also be scheduled with the psychiatrist.

Call 513-536-0570 to schedule a RAS appointment.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

When a patient’s treatment needs fall between inpatient and outpatient care, our Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) provide intensive treatment in a safe and therapeutic environment without full hospitalization. PHP is also used as a step-down program from full hospitalization, with the intent of gradually easing an adult or adolescent back into their home environment and routine.

Eating Disorders Programs

When abnormal eating and preoccupation with body weight and shape become harmful to an individual’s physical and mental health, Lindner Center of HOPE offers structured and compassionate outpatient, PHP (Partial Hospitalization), and Intensive Outpatient Therapy programs. Our experienced teams work with each patient and family to develop an individualized treatment plan to stabilize physical health and optimize nutrition while addressing behaviors and underlying contributing issues.

Substance Use & Co-Occurring Outpatient Program

Addiction is often fueled by a co-occurring mental health issue. To bring about real sobriety, underlying issues like mental health disorders must be simultaneously addressed and coping skills and strategies must be exercised to prevent relapse. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Lindner Center of HOPE is uniquely qualified to work with patients struggling with a dual diagnosis or multiple diagnoses.
