LCOH Lindner Center of Hope Hosted 200 for Community Education Day in Honor of Mental Health Month

Lindner Center of Hope hosted approximately 200 community members during its bi-annual Community Education Day on Sunday, May 3rd. Community Education Day is a half-day workshop designed to increase awareness of mental health and wellness, encourage open conversation, and reduce stigma surrounding mental illness. The event featured a keynote presentation by Ross Ellenhorn, LICSW, PhD, and multiple breakout sessions led by clinicians and experts.

The keynote discussion was No Hope Without Fear, No Fear Without Hope: How Fear of Hope Influences Our Lives

Following the keynote, attendees chose from 12 breakout sessions across three learning blocks on topics including:

  • Stress and self-care
  • Trauma and addictions
  • Diagnostic assessment
  • Digital media and mental health
  • Suicide prevention and AI
  • Recovery and wellness strategies

The event held at the Manor House in Mason also featured a resource center of around a dozen support agencies.
