Dr. Jennifer Wilcox-Berman is a licensed clinical psychologist and a member of the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Anxiety Disorder treatment team at the Lindner Center of HOPE. She specializes in the assessment and treatment of adolescents and adults with moderate to severe OCD and anxiety disorders, utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches, such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She currently provides outpatient therapy services and previously provided assessment and therapy within Lindner Center of HOPE’s residential treatment units, Sibcy House and Williams House, for several years.

Dr. Wilcox-Berman is a professional member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) and has completed several years of OCD-specific training, including the IOCDF’s Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI). Dr. Wilcox provides individual clinical supervision for post-doctoral fellows and doctoral-level psychology interns, as well as group supervision for medical students. She has also presented to professional and community audiences on various OCD-related topics.

Prior to joining Lindner Center of HOPE, Dr. Wilcox-Berman completed postdoctoral training at a private practice in Phoenix, Arizona, where she developed an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for young adults with OCD and anxiety disorders, co-facilitated an IOP for adolescents with OCD and social anxiety, and provided individual outpatient therapy for adolescents and young adults with OCD, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. She completed an additional year of post-doctoral training at the Lindner Center of HOPE/UC Health.

Dr. Wilcox-Berman completed her pre-doctoral internship at Rogers Memorial Hospital in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin where she received specialized training in the assessment and treatment of severe OCD treatment in children, adolescents, and adults in residential and IOP settings. She also has additional graduate training and experience in a variety of other areas including: behavioral medicine, eating disorders, bariatric surgery, and substance use disorders.

Dr. Wilcox-Berman earned her Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from The Illinois School of Professional Psychology with an emphasis in Health Psychology. Her dissertation focused on the implications of cosmetic surgery in Body Dysmorphic Disorder patients. Prior to working in the field of psychology, Dr. Wilcox-Berman was a registered nurse.
