A Half Day Workshop About Mental Illness and Addiction

Lindner Center of HOPE is hosting a Community Education Day on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 11am to 4pm at Manor House in Mason. The event, Information is the Foundation of HOPE, is a half-day workshop about mental illness and addiction.  The afternoon is intended to enhance awareness about the facts of mental illness and addiction.

Stacy Pershall, Survivor, Author, Storyteller, is the keynote speaker. Her presentation focuses on bullying, eating disorders, distinguishing Borderline Personality Disorder from Bipolar Disorder, the power of mental health activism, and what she has found personally as a healing agent.

Registration and a resource center opens at 11am with a buffet at 11:30am, followed by a welcome and the keynote presentation.

The remainder of the afternoon is filled with breakout session presentations offered by Lindner Center of HOPE clinicians. Three, 45-minute breakout sessions, can be selected by guests. Topics range from Trauma and Substance Use, Spirituality in Mental Health, OCD and Anxiety, Conversations with People Receiving Mental Health Treatment, Eating Disorders, ADHD, Grief and Loss, COVID and Mental Health, Mindfulness, Depression, Parenting and more.
