Tiffany Graves, M.A.

Psychology Assistant
Lindner Center of HOPE

Tiffany Graves serves as a psychology assistant under the supervision of Elizabeth Mariutto, PsyD at the Lindner Center of HOPE. Within the Harold C. Schott Foundation Eating Disorders Program, Tiffany provides individual and group therapy for patients across multiple levels of care (i.e., inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient). Tiffany also provides eating disorder consultation and liaison services for the adult inpatient and residential units. She has been trained in numerous empirically supported behavioral interventions for eating disorders including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO DBT), as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E) and Family-Based Treatment (FBT). Aside from her clinical duties, Tiffany also devotes time to engaging in eating disorder research and advocacy efforts, including promotion of the Health at Every Size (HAES) initiative.

In addition to her contributions to the Eating Disorders Program, Tiffany possesses strong interests in the treatment of sexual trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), as well as body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). She has been trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP). Tiffany is an active member of the trauma, OCD, DBT, and RO DBT consult teams at the Lindner Center of HOPE and co-leads an outpatient RO DBT group for patients presenting with disorders of overcontrol.

Prior to joining the Eating Disorders Program at the Lindner Center of HOPE, Tiffany completed her pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center/Medical College of Georgia Consortium where she specialized in the Psychology of Women. During her internship, Tiffany gained extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of disorders disproportionately affecting female populations (e.g., military sexual trauma, eating disorders, BPD, mood and anxiety disorders) and solidified her interest in feminist psychology. She also received intensive training in DBT, risk assessment, and crisis intervention. Tiffany has experience working with adolescents, families, adults, and older adults presenting with a broad range of clinical disorders across numerous treatment settings, including Veteran’s Affairs, academic medical centers, specialized eating disorder treatment facilities, community mental health, and college counseling centers.

Tiffany is currently a doctoral candidate in the Clinical Psychology Psy.D. Program at Xavier University. She received her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Xavier University in 2018 and her Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Boston University in 2011. In 2013, she was awarded the Matina S. Horner Summer Research Fellowship with the Eating Disorder Clinical and Research Program (EDCRP) at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. As a fellow, Tiffany conducted a meta-analytic review investigating the impact of the therapeutic alliance on treatment outcomes in eating disorders. The first-authored paper resulting from this project was later awarded Best Paper by an Early Career Investigator by the International Journal of Eating Disorders (IJED).

Tiffany holds memberships in the Academy for Eating Disorders (AED), Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), and Ohio Professional Association of Graduate Students (OPAGS).
