Amy Thomas is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and she obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to joining the Lindner Center of Hope, Amy worked for Amwell Medical Group as an Outpatient Telehealth Therapist where she treated adolescents, adults and older populations. Other work experience includes working as a Behavioral Health Consultant and Travel Social Worker where she provided diagnostic assessments, counseling and case management for emergency rooms and inpatient psychiatric units in Ohio and throughout the State of New Hampshire.

Amy specializes in helping those struggling with symptoms of anxiety, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, work and relationship related stressors and grief and chronic illness. She utilizes such treatment modalities as Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Amy believes that each person can grow and recover, and she feels the first step toward recovery starts with building on your strengths while gaining the tools needed to master the challenges you are facing.

In her spare time, Amy enjoys hiking in the mountains of New Hampshire, swimming, seeing both mainstream and independent films and spending time with her partner, family and friends.
