Child/Adolescent Treatment Options

Through early intervention and a wide range of expert, compassionate mental health treatment options, at Lindner Center of HOPE we can help prevent long-term problems, and offer long-term hope for children, adolescents and their families.

For Children ages 2 - 11

Children’s mental health problems are common and treatable. Untreated mental health problems can disrupt children’s functioning at home, school and in the community. Parents and family members are usually the first to notice if a child has problems with emotions or behavior. Observations from parents, caregivers and teachers can help determine whether it is time to seek help.

For children age 2 through 11, Lindner Center of HOPE offers individualized treatment in an outpatient setting provided by experienced clinicians trained to work with young children and their families.

For Adolescents ages 11 - 17 to 12 -18 (if still in high school)

Adolescence and early adulthood are critical times when physical, cognitive, and social changes allow a teenager to develop the identity that will serve as a basis for their adult lives. Research has indicated that psychiatric illnesses frequently present during the adolescent years in the form of mood problems, anxiety problems, relationship problems or maladaptive coping skills. Early diagnosis and effective treatment become essential to ready them for their next steps in life.

At Lindner Center of HOPE, a team of child and adolescent physicians and mental health practitioners provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services in a comfortable and therapeutic setting.

Adolescent patients can participate in meaningful individual or family therapy in a comfortable outpatient setting while maintaining normal life activities.

Cincinnati Children’s at Lindner Center of HOPE, supported by our clinical experts, provides stabilization for struggling adolescents age 12 to 17 on a 16-bed adolescent unit.

Admissions

A provider referrer, family member or patients themselves may initiate inpatient treatment. Cincinnati Children’s at Lindner Center of HOPE accepts most major insurances for inpatient care.
