Are you currently suffering from depression?

The Lindner Center of HOPE is conducting a research study that will evaluate people in a current depressive episode. Participants will be treated under the direction of their doctor and provide 3 blood samples during the study. The purpose of the study is to examine if unipolar depression, bipolar I or bipolar II depression can be determined from a blood sample. The study will last 9 weeks (6 visits during that time). Participants will receive treatment from their regular doctor and not from the study.

Adults 18 to 70 who have been diagnosed with major depression, bipolar type I or II disorder and currently depressed may be eligible to participate.

Participants will be reimbursed for time and travel to the Lindner Center of Hope (Mason, OH). You will be compensated $50 for the screening visit, $100 for completing the initial baseline visit and $50 for each subsequent study visit, for a maximum total of $350 if you complete all of the study visits.
