Differential Diagnostic Testing
The first step in treating any illness is thoroughly assessing the array of factors influencing one’s symptoms and overall prognosis. Lindner Center of HOPE offers Diagnostic Assessments to aid in the determination and differential diagnosis of psychiatric and cognitive conditions. By better understanding the components of an illness, clinicians can utilize targeted therapies and state-of-the-science treatment technology to help clients lead a life worth living.

Learning Disability and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
Education assessments are critical for identifying learning disabilities and ADHD in students with emerging cognitive and academic struggles. At Lindner Center of HOPE, leading neuropsychologists and psychologists specialize in evaluating cognitive disorders among pediatric, college-age and adult populations.

Our experts provide neuropsychological evaluations as well as develop customized recommendations for educational, vocational, and intervention planning.

Neurocognitive Disorders & Aging
With changes in cognitive abilities becoming a prominent concern with age, the early and accurate diagnosis of neurocognitive disorders is increasingly important. Comprehensive neuropsychological assessments aid in the detection of cognitive impairment and memory decline associated with normal aging as well as Alzheimer’s disease, other dementias and stroke. Evaluations also screen for one’s strengths in order to inform treatment strategies and enhance efforts to maintain the quality of life that everyone deserves.

Traumatic Brain Injury & Rehabilitation
The chronic cognitive and behavioral changes that follow traumatic brain injury pose numerous difficulties to patients and their families. As part of our mission, Lindner Center of HOPE aims to facilitate the rehabilitation of our clients by providing scientifically-advanced assessment services and care. Our neuropsychological evaluations assess for cognitive, behavioral and emotional changes as well as functional improvements over the course of recovery. Results from testing are used for developing strategies to remediate symptoms and promote adaptive daily living skills.

Sports-Related Head Injury
Concussions and other sports-related brain injuries place players at high risk for further injury and lasting cognitive impairment. The Psychological Assessment Center conducts evaluations to administer the recommended baseline cognitive functioning tests, examine a player’s post-injury symptoms and assist clinicians and athletic trainers in making difficult return-to-play decisions.
