Ms. Marklay is a clinical psychotherapist who has provided individual, group and family therapy for more than 20 years to children, adolescents, young adults and their families. She joined the Lindner Center of HOPE in 2009 and has provided comprehensive outpatient therapy services to young people treating a broad array of mental health disorders such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, trauma and stress related disorders, gender dysphoria, and behavioral disorders.
Ms. Marklay has treated children, adolescents and young adults in a variety of treatment settings, including community mental health, school-based settings, hospital-based settings, and residential treatment settings. Prior to joining the Lindner Center of HOPE, Ms. Marklay provided outpatient therapy at Centerpoint Health, formerly Norcen Behavioral Health, in Cincinnati, Ohio from 2000 to 2009. She treated young people in both outpatient and residential treatment settings with mental health and behavioral problems. She taught education groups at Hillcrest Training School in the sex offense specific treatment program. She provided therapy to adolescents on probation and parole referred by both Hamilton County Juvenile Court and the Ohio Department of Youth Services. Ms. Marklay provided over nine years of school-based mental health services in the Princeton school district in elementary, middle, junior high and high school settings. These services included assessments, therapy services to students and their families, and consultation with staff on mental health related matters. In addition, she provided psychoeducational skills-based group training to both staff and students. Prior to joining Norcen Behavioral Health, Ms. Marklay served as a child and adolescent therapist at the Pines Residential Treatment Center in Portsmouth, Virginia where she worked with children and adolescents referred nationwide for long-term residential care.
