Lindner Center of HOPE, Nurse Practitioner


Christie Wetzel is a Certified Nurse Practitioner serving adolescent outpatients and adult inpatient and partial hospitalization patients.

She is dually ANCC Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner.

Prior to joining the Lindner Center of HOPE, she worked for eight years as a Nurse Practitioner/Health Care Coordinator in the Homeless Veterans Program at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Cincinnati, Ohio. There she coordinated and provided care for Veterans with medical and psychiatric illnesses in a residential setting. She also served as a preceptor for Nurse Practitioner students at the University of Cincinnati. She was a national planning committee participant for Psychiatric Residential Rehabilitation Programs, and was a member of and Advanced Practice Nurse Informatics Subcommittee. She acted as employee health liaison and BLS trainer for employees in the Homeless Veterans Program. Additionally, she served as coordinator of CARF and Joint Commission survey preparation committees.

Prior to obtaining her Masters and Post-Masters degree, she worked as a Nurse Manager overseeing services provided to adolescents in the juvenile court system. Additionally, she has worked with children and adolescents with psychiatric illness and developmental disabilities.
