Lindner Center of HOPE Doctors Included on Top List
Ranking Places Two Lindner Center Doctors on Cincinnati Magazine List

The Frances and Craig Lindner Center of HOPE is pleased to announce the following doctors were listed among the top doctors on Cincinnati Magazine’s 2020 list. The doctors who make the list are active physicians in Hamilton, Butler, Warren, and Clermont counties in Ohio; Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties in Kentucky; and Dearborn County in Indiana and were selected by their peers in a survey asking which physicians they’d turn to for care.

 Lindner Center of HOPE Announces Promotions

Talented Staff Members Grow in Leadership Roles.

MASON, Ohio – Lindner Center of HOPE, a leading provider of mental health care, is pleased to announce the promotions of the following individuals who are poised to continue to lead the organization into the future:

Paul Crosby, MD has accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer and will also take on the new role of Chief Clinical Officer. Dr. Crosby joined the Lindner Center of HOPE as a staff psychiatrist, as the Center opened to patients in 2008.In 2016, he was promoted to the role of Chief Medical Officer, in which he demonstrated great leadership. He will continue to support many service areas at Lindner Center of HOPE with responsibility for overall organizational growth and success.
Danielle Johnson, MD, FAPA has accepted the position of Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Johnson has been on the medical staff at Lindner Center of HOPE since 2008. In recent years, she has served as the Chief of Adult Psychiatry.
Mikaela Delyons, DNP, MSN, RN has accepted the position of Director, Residential Services, maintaining oversight of residential admissions. Her most recent role at Lindner Center of HOPE was Manager of Lindner Center of HOPE’s Access and Referral Center.
Marie Rueve, MD, has agreed to serve as Chief of Adult Psychiatry. Dr. Rueve joined Lindner Center of HOPE in 2017 as Medical Director of Sibcy House, an adult residential diagnostic and intensive treatment unit.
Margot Brandi, MD, has agreed to serve as Medical Director of Sibcy House. She joined Lindner Center of HOPE in 2017 as a staff psychiatrist and attending physician on the residential units.
Laura Yard, MD, has agreed to serve as Medical Director of Addiction Services at HOPE Center North. A recent addition to the medical staff, she has enthusiastically accepted more leadership responsibility.

Jan Marhefka, MSN, RN, has agreed to serve as Director of Nursing-Inpatient/ARC/Welcome Center.

 

 

Rick Webb has agreed to serve as Director of Plant Operations and Maintenance.

 

 

 

 

Marty Stephenson has agreed to serve as Program Director, HOPE Center North.
Tracy Cummings, MD has agreed to serve as Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Danielle Johnson, Lindner Center of Hope

 

Lindner Center of HOPE is pleased to announce that Danielle Johnson, MD, FAPA, Chief of Adult Psychiatry and President of the Medical Staff was recognized as a top doctor in the psychiatry category in Cincinnati Magazine’s 2019 list.

Doctors recognized were selected by their peers in a survey asking the physicians who they would turn to for care. The survey was conducted by Professional Research Services Company of Troy, Michigan.

Professorship Created as a Result of Landmark Pledge by Fath Family

 

MASON, Ohio (UPDATED: 10.30.18) – Lindner Center of HOPE has announced Susan L. McElroy, MD, will be named the first Linda and Harry Fath Professor of Psychiatry. Dr. McElroy has been with the Center for more than 10 years and is also the chief research officer. The position was announced in  recognition of a $50 million pledge from Linda and Harry Fath.

“I’m honored to be named to this new role and excited about the Lindner Center of HOPE’s future,” said Dr. McElroy. “Thanks to the generous gifts from the Fath and Lindner families, we look forward to new opportunities in developing leading-edge research and patient care programs. At the same time, we will continue to work hard to remove barriers for those who lack access to mental healthcare and fight stigma through education.”

McElroy is a Global Leader in Psychiatry

Dr. McElroy oversees the Center’s numerous ongoing studies on mood, anxiety, eating and impulse control disorders, genetics and psychopharmacology.

She has published more than 400 scientific papers in leading psychiatry and psychology journals and is the 8th most-cited scientist in the world in those fields since 1996. Dr. McElroy is the editor or author of four scientific books, serves on the editorial boards of five medical journals and has authored more than 150 reviews and chapters in major psychiatric textbooks.

Dr. McElroy has received numerous honors including being recognized among the Best Mental Health Experts by Good Housekeeping Magazine; Best Doctors in America, and, as one of America’s Top Psychiatrists, by the Consumer Research Council. Additionally, she has received a number of national awards for her teaching and research efforts.

She completed her residency in psychiatry at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts and her internship in internal medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Her bachelorette degree is from Colgate University (Hamilton, NY) and she earned her MD from Cornell University Medical College (New York City, NY).

and researcher in Bipolar Disorder and psychopharmacology. He authored over 700 scientific papers in leading journals and was the 7th most cited scientist in the world published in the fields of psychiatry and psychology over the last decade.

McElroy, M.D., A nationally recognized researcher and educator, Dr. McElroy is internationally known for her research in bipolar disorder, eating disorders, obesity, impulse control disorders and pharmacology. As Chief Research Officer for the Lindner Center of HOPE, she currently oversees multiple ongoing studies in bipolar disorder, major depression, binge eating disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder.

 

This is the eighth consecutive year these doctors were included in this database. They hold faculty appointments with the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and are part of UC Physicians.

Joining the list for the third consecutive year is: Brian P. Dowling, M.D., a highly regarded psychiatrist
in the Cincinnati area, who focuses on maximizing time with his patients in order to truly understand their individual stories attempting to offer them hope and a sense of possibility. Dr. Dowling is the Director of Medical Education at Lindner Center of HOPE.

New to the List:

 Marie E. Rueve, M.D., serves as the Medical Director of the Sibcy House residential treatment program and as a staff psychiatrist at the Lindner Center of HOPE. She brings to the Lindner Center of HOPE’s Sibcy House an approach of integrated care to address each facet of a patient’s complex psychiatric history, focusing on their individual goals and expectations for improvement. She possesses not only an extensive background in psychopharmacology but also expertise in psychotherapy and a love of teaching. Her treatment philosophy centers on walking with patients through a comprehensive understanding of their illness and context, on to holistic, multi-disciplinary treatment approaches aimed at helping them live fulfilling and functional lives.

Lindner Center of HOPE is pleased to announce that the following have joined the Leadership Team:

Michael J. Glen, PE, CPSM, has joined Lindner Center of HOPE in a new role, Vice President, Business Development and Innovation with a primary goal of promoting mental health awareness and education to businesses, schools and government officials. He is also part of the executive leadership team. Mr. Glen’s previous position was as an engineering and marketing professional with extensive experience in project engineering, project management, business development, business planning and implementation.

 

 

Anne VanderPutten MBS, MSN, RN, has joined Lindner Center of HOPE, as Program Director, Residential Services. Her role incorporates both the adult residential unit (Sibcy House) and the adolescent residential unit (Williams House). Prior to joining Lindner Center of HOPE, she managed Psychiatric Emergency Services for six years collaborating with community resources through advisory councils, the Heroin Coalition, the Department of Health, and law enforcement agencies.

 

 

Sharon Simmons, MSW, LCSW, has joined, Lindner Center of HOPE, as Clinical Manager, Residential Services. Her role incorporates both the adult residential unit (Sibcy House) and the adolescent residential unit (Williams House). Prior to joining Lindner Center of HOPE, she worked as a program director for an intensive outpatient program (IOP). She continues to teach as an adjunct professor for Brescia University where she teaches a variety of social work courses, including research, practice and ethics.

The Lindner Center’s COO is responsible for overseeing the daily operational and administrative functions of the organization with mission-focused and goal-oriented leadership.

Mr. Hehemann has over 30 years of experience in hospital operations with significant contributions in the areas of strategic planning, clinical services growth and service delivery. Most recently, Mr. Hehemann served as Chief Executive Officer at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford for over seven years.  He successfully led the long-range plan to engage Miami University, build partnerships with physicians and community agencies and increase patient and employee satisfaction. Prior to that, Bryan held Vice President positions at various Hospitals, including 16 years at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso, Michigan where he had responsibility for behavioral health services.

Lindner Center of HOPE is pleased to announce that Stacey Reese, MSW, LISW-S, has been named Program Manager of SibcyStacey M. Reese, MSW, LISW-S House at Lindner Center of HOPE. The program manager has 24-hour responsibility for high quality clinical care and services on the Sibcy milieu for Sibcy House patients. The position works collaboratively with Sibcy team members and other departments within the organization to assure appropriate admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge of Sibcy House patients. Program planning, development and implementation and program and clinical outcomes are major areas of focus for the program manager. Ms. Reese is responsible for managing the overall patient experience as well as relationships with internal and external program stakeholders.

Ms. Reese has served the last several years at Lindner Center of HOPE as manager of inpatient social work, recreation therapy, and spiritual care. She has nearly 20 years of social work experience.

Reese earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati. She received her Bachelor of Science in Social Work degree from the Ohio State University. She is a licensed supervising independent social worker.

Sibcy House at Lindner Center of HOPE near Cincinnati, Ohio, is a specialized and intimate unit, offering comprehensive diagnostic assessment and treatment for patients 18 and older, suffering with complex, co-morbid mental health issues.
