Lindner Center of HOPE, Staff Psychiatrist
Dr. Hedgren completed her General Psychiatry Residency and Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship training with the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. She serves as a staff psychiatrist for Lindner Center of HOPE focusing on the outpatient treatment of senior adult patients. Her areas of interest include the evaluation and treatment of late-life psychotic, mood, and anxiety disorders as well as cognitive disorders.
Dr. Hedgren has worked in a variety of clinical settings, most recently as Assistant Professor in Psychiatry for Medical University of South Carolina Department of Psychiatry where she covered the Seasons Intensive Outpatient Program, Partial Hospitalization Program and Outpatient Geropsychiatry Clinic.
Recognition for Dr. Hedgren includes an Americorps National Service Education Award, The Ohio State University Prestigious Scholarship Award, Medical College of Ohio School of Medicine Student Leader of the Year Award Nominee (2002) and Medical University of South Carolina Faculty Excellence Award Nominee for excellence in student teaching (2007).
Dr. Hedgren also has clinical research experience and her professional memberships include the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, and the American Medical Association.
