Christina G. Waite, MD
Lindner Center of HOPE, Staff Psychiatrist



Dr.  Waite serves as a staff psychiatrist for Lindner Center of HOPE focusing on the treatment of adult patients. Her emphasis is on dynamic psychotherapy principles and integrating all aspects of mental and physical health into the treatment process.  Working with an integrated team, Dr. Waite’s inpatient work focuses on comprehensive diagnostic assessment, chronic mental and physical health treatment including the influences of biological, psychological and social issues on a patient’s functioning.  Empowering patients in their own treatment and equipping them to be advocates for mental health is also an objective.

Prior to joining Lindner Center of HOPE, Dr. Waite was a private practice psychiatrist in the Dayton, Ohio area.  She has experience working with individuals and families experiencing chronic medical issues.  A published clinician, Dr. Waite co-authored Ephedrine-Type Alkaloid-Containing Dietary Supplements and Substance Dependence in Psychosomatics.

Dr. Waite completed her General Psychiatry Residency training with the Department of Psychiatry, Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio.  She was a Chief Resident in the Department of Psychiatry.  She is certified by the Board of Neurology and Psychiatry and is licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio.  

As a 16-year critical care nurse, Dr. Waite focuses on how the biopsychosocial model-biological, psychological and social issues play a significant role in her patient’s lives.  She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from State University of New York in Canton, New York.
