(Nasdaq: OREX) today announced results from a 24-week open-label study demonstrating that treatment with Contrave(R) resulted in significant improvements in depressive symptoms that was accompanied by weight loss and improved control of eating in overweight and obese patients with major depression.
Lindner Center of HOPE conducts adolescent bipolar depression study
The Research Institute at Lindner Center of HOPE is currently investigating a treatment option for bipolar depression in adolescents ages 10 to 17.
As part of a global study, the Center’s findings will contribute to data being collected around the world proving or disproving the efficacy of a medication, currently on the market for adults, in adolescents. The medication is considered investigational and is not approved by the United States Food & Drug Administration for this indication.

Keck, Jr., President and CEO, Lindner Center of HOPE, co-edited a book titled, Antiepileptic Drugs To Treat Psychiatric Disorders, recently published by Informa Healthcare USA, Inc. Robert M. Post, M.D., head of the Bipolar Collaborative Network, also served as editor for the publication.
